Television Craft Awards Information

Programmes must have had their first transmission in the UK between 1 January and 31 December 2026 on terrestrial, cable, satellite, streamer or digital channels who commission content (eg. Apple TV+, Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video).

Yes…

• Programmes must have a minimum running time of three minutes. This is slightly different for the new Children’s categories so please refer to the full Rules and Guidelines
•  To be eligible programmes must air to UK audiences. However, if editorial control resides outside of the UK, each craft candidate* must fulfil two of the following three criteria:
  – The UK is the usual place of residency (currently residing or resident for a minimum of six years when the entry was made)
  – The UK is the usual place of employment for the candidate(s) for nomination
  – The UK is the place of birth or naturalisation
  *An exemption for ONE candidate within teams of five or more can be requested on appeal
• Entries can be made to either the BAFTA Television and Television Craft Awards or the BAFTA Film Awards, not both
• Specific restrictions may apply for certain categories. To check these and further details on all general restrictions please refer to the Rulebook in the Rules And Guidelines section.

Entries can be submitted by broadcasters, independent production companies, directors, producers, writers, BAFTA members and all those credited in principle craft roles on the credits of a programme.

Where broadcasters and production companies are not entering a particular craft person they are expected to oblige in sharing material to that person in the event they wish to self-enter – unless there are sound reasons not to (eg. such as an ongoing dispute).

• The fee for making 1 – 60 entries is £175.00 per entry (£145.83 + £29.17 VAT)
• There is a reduced fee for making 61+ entries of £140.00 per entry (£116.67 + £23.33 VAT)
